GKD announces dutch weave filter media for water filtration

The Optimized Dutch Weaves (ODW) from GKD for filtering freshwater and sewage feature pore sizes of 5 – 25 µm.  Optimized Dutch Weaves consist of a small number of thick warp wires and many thin weft wires creating slot-shaped apertures with small pore sizes at the surface of the mesh and large pores within the mesh.

Optimized Dutch Weaves have high permeability and dirt-holding capacity and can be used as a cartridge, disc, or drum filter. ODWs have shown minimal clogging tendency, resistance to wear, and weldability. As an alternative to synthetic filter media, the technology is virtually 100%-recyclable when made from stainless steel, reducing the carbon footprint of the user.
