In 2010, by customer demand, we started producing filter tubes on a small scale with only one Helix tubeformer. Today we have over two dozen tubeformers running multiple shifts dedicated to the manufacture of filter tubes and we are still expanding. Helix International understands that extreme requirements are often called for as the industry dictates. In order to meet these exceptional demands, Helix International released the FT-73 “Heavy Duty” machine. Extending the capacity of the machine to incorporate much thicker materials provides the ability to produce cores in an array of different materials, widths and profiles. The FT-73 will produce tubes through 0.52”/1.25mm material thickness.
In an attempt to meet a wider range of customer needs, Helix International has blended the performance capabilities of high speed with three (3) tube profile options. The end result – The MN-73 Tubeformer – offers production rates of up to 80 pieces per minute, producing:
- Option I: In-line Double-Fluted Tube
- Option II: In-line Square-Fluted Tubes
- Option III: Pre-Expanded or Per-Perforated Material
Through years of experience in the filtration industry, Helix International has responded to the need for high-speed production of small diameter/short length filter cores. The MN-38 offers the highest production speed of any machine on the market with rates of up to 160 pieces per minute.
