AmeriWater introduces CWFT high-efficiency sand filter

AmeriWater introduced its newest high-efficiency cooling tower water filter offering, the HEF CWFT. The CWFT was specially designed for a 300-ton cooling tower or smaller. The CWFT was created for smaller commercial, institutional and light manufacturing applications that want cleaner cooling tower water and longer equipment life without the expense and footprint of a larger system.

The CWFT model removes the small particles responsible for fouling of heat transfer surfaces. This filter uses ultra-fine sand for its filtration. Within the unit, the crossflow action of the water across the surface of the finer media prevents rapid plugging by pushing contaminants over to the storage area. It features a non-corrosive composite fiberglass tank and schedule 80 PVC manifolds. The system delivers ½- or 2-micron filtration for cooling towers and has the option for backwash storage tanks from 130 to 1,000 gallons. The unit also features a PLC controller with integrated HMI touchscreen.
