INDA Media is the business to business publishing arm of INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA). We recognize that your privacy is important, and we respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits our websites and mobile applications (apps). We will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described hereafter. Our data collection and usage is consistent with our obligations under the law.

THIS PRIVACY POLICY DESCRIBES THE INFORMATION THAT INDA MEDIA COLLECTS ON BEHALF OF INTERNATIONAL FIBER JOURNAL AND INTERNATIONAL FILTRATION NEWS, AND HOW WE USE, SHARE, AND PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION.  THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHAT DEVICE YOU USE TO ACCESS OUR WEBSITES OR MOBILE APPS. Overview

Who we are

  • INDA is a trade association representing member companies in the nonwoven fabrics and engineered materials industry value-chain from raw materials to roll goods producers to machinery manufacturers and converters to brand owners. Through the presentation of industry conferences and expos, education and training, and research, we aim to “foster member and industry success through activity.”
  • INDA Media is a business unit of INDA, which publishes advertising-based trade journals, websites and related digital content for qualified industry professionals who are involved with textile fiber production, processing and end-uses and/or the development, design or use of filtration systems.

What information do we collect?

When you opt-in to receive and/or engage with INDA Media products or services, login to our websites using a third-party login system (including, but not limited to, Facebook Connect, Twitter, etc.), or opt-in to receive our newsletters or information about INDA Media products and services, you provide us and we collect information such as name, company name, job title, address, phone number, fax number, email address, login names, etc. When you visit our website using a search engine, such as Google or Yahoo, we capture the fact that you used a particular search engine to reach our website.

INDA Media may use cookies and other Internet technologies in the management of our websites and email programs to enrich your experience. We may also use IP addresses to gather broad geographic information for aggregate use. Like many websites, INDA’s websites may use pixel tags, also known as web beacons, clear gifs, or web bugs. Pixel tags help us improve our understanding of our website traffic and visitor behavior, as well as gauge the response to our promotional efforts.

INDA Media uses your personal data to provide information about INDA Media content, events, news, products and services, respond to inquiries, and process orders and requests.

INDA websites and mobile apps may offer interactive features where you can communicate with other users and submit information, including personal information. Such information may be publicly posted and could be read, collected, or used by third parties. INDA Media is not responsible for the information you choose to submit or a third party’s use of such information. Your participation in these features and your sharing of information with us and other users constitutes your agreement to such sharing.

How you can unsubscribe from commercial communications

You may contact us at any time to opt-out of receiving commercial communications from INDA Media. Alternatively you can click the unsubscribe option located in the footer of INDA Media email promotions, complete the preferences form, and update your communication preferences at any time.

How we protect your information

We take protecting your personal information seriously. INDA Media strives to maintain reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information from loss and unauthorized access or disclosure. Credit card information is encrypted during transmission to our site, and we adhere to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standard for handling credit card information.

INDA Media will retain your personal information and any information collected from your use of our websites or mobile apps for as long as you are a subscriber or otherwise maintain a user account on our websites or mobile apps.

How to control the information INDA uses or shares about you

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. If you no longer wish for us to share your mailing address, email or other contact information with our sponsors or other third parties, you may adjust your account preferences or you can submit your request to our Data Privacy Officer via email at dpo@inda.org, by phone at 919 459-3700 or by regular mail at INDA Media, Attn: Data Privacy Officer, PO Box 1288, Cary, NC 27512-1288.

Upon receipt of your request, we will make every effort to remove your personal information from our database within 10 business days. To expedite this process, please provide your name, mailing address, all email addresses, and any other information you have registered with INDA Media. Please note that we will not be able to stop third parties from sending you information about their products or services if your information was shared with them before we received your request. In such cases, you will also need to submit your unsubscribe requests with the third parties directly.

Regarding email specifically, you have the opportunity to elect to stop receiving advertising messages from INDA Media each time you receive such a communication from us. To unsubscribe from such email advertising messages, please follow the directions included in that email message and carefully select the email messages you wish to opt out of.

How can I access, correct or amend my information?

You have the right under certain privacy and data protection laws, as may be applicable, to request free of charge:

  • Access to and correction and deletion of your personal information;
  • Restriction of our processing of your personal information, or to object to our processing; and/or
  • Portability of your personal information

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

INDA websites and mobile apps are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information on our websites and mobile apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we may have any information from or about a child under 13, please send an email to our Data Privacy Officer at dpo@inda.org or call 919 459-3700 and ask for the Data Privacy Officer.

Data from other sources

We also may obtain contact details and other information about you from other entities and from third parties, including: social networks who have your permission to access your data; service providers who enable us to customize products based on your location; partners with which we offer co-branded services or engage in joint marketing activities; publicly available sources and data suppliers from which we obtain data to validate or supplement the information we hold.

Links to external websites

We may have links on INDA Media websites, mobile apps or in INDA Media communications that link to external websites. INDA Media does not endorse, nor is INDA Media responsible for the privacy policy or content of these sites, so please check the privacy policy of any external site when visiting.

Do not track requests

Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and mobile apps and services (including behavioral advertising services) that you do not wish such operators to track your online activities over time and/or across different websites. Our websites are currently unable to process Do Not Track requests from browsers.

Changes to our privacy policy and your consent

INDA Media may change this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the most current policy on the INDA Media website and mobile app. Please refer to our privacy policy each time you visit our site to review any updated information. When you visit and use our website, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.
