ANDRITZ Metris addIQ control system is now available for fully automatic operations, as well as continuous online monitoring and process optimization. A filter press with the Metris addIQ control system is able to measure the residual moisture level in a cake via sensors in the filter plate throughout the filtration cycle, allowing filtration to be stopped when the desired moisture level is reached. A second set of sensors connected to the Metris addIQ control system is able to determine relevant parameters in order to trigger a filtration cycle. With the combined sensors, the information to create a more reliable operation of the filter press is gathered and turned into relevant feedback during operation.

The Metris addIQ control system also monitors the degree of contamination of the filter press package, the hydraulic and feed pressure and the feed temperature. The system is able to make adjustments as necessary. It will send alerts when conditions are not as they are supposed to be. The Metris addIQ system partnered with Metis IQadd Monitoring is designed to keep plant operators aware of the filter press and key performance indicators at all times.
